Kayaking Jingle

A jingle is a catchy phrase or slogan, often set to a fun tune, that is often used to advertise a certain product or service. You can hear jingles on TV or radio commercials. Jingles are usually short and very memorable. - St Pierre’s Sushi

Writing your own Jingle

Instructions
You are going to write a jingle advertising Kayak Lessons for kids in Tamaki. You will need to use all the information you learned from the readings about kayaking, and about kids learning to kayak.

STEP #1: Write down all the words you can think of that relate to kayaking, and might be used in your jingle.

STEP #2: Look at your word list and determine which words rhyme.

STEP #3: Begin writing short sentences. Be sure to include words from your list in step #2 and use the Rhyming words from Step #3.

Step #4 Record using and share your jingle using Online voice recorder
  • Share it on your blog with a paragraph about what you are advertising
  • Save the recording to your chromebook
  • Upload the recording from your ‘.files’ to your Drive
  • Change the sharing settings of the recording from your drive to “Anyone with the link”
  • Open the recording in a new window
  • Select “Copy embed code”

Step #5 Share on your blog
  • Paste the embedded code into the HTML section of your blog.
  • Share your post with a task description and a walt.
